SEV2: Earth as one interconnected system.
Background: Before we begin to "solve" environmental problems, we need to understand how the nature nutrient cycles work. Furthermore, we need to investigate a problem and form hypothesises before we experiment. In doing so, we are able to deduce how biotic and abiotic factors may affect each other and thus, control the experiment by testing only one growth factor.
In your hydroponic wick systems, you will be able to see the results of how you controlling the growth factors such as nutrients, light, water, pH and soil-less media are important to plant growth.
Open/Work Session: We have two main objectives today:
1) The first half of the period, you need to finish your Toxtown poison investigation
2) The second half you need to find two pictures that best illustrates the information from your pages in the text.
Closing: Remember, you will have Thursday to complete your section and Friday your group will be presenting in a gallery walk. Please download and save to your "H" drive the pictures. You can print tomorrow.
