Week 2: SEV5: Global and Local Sustainability- the distribution, allocation and conservation of natural resources.
EQ: What impact is the human population creating for the global and local sustainability?
student objectives:
- SWBAT Investigate Solar Energy as an alternative energy source.
Work Sessions:
M-T: 1) begin a tutorial on how different alternative energy sources such as solar, wind and geothermal energy are harnest and converted to electicity or mechanical power.
W-F 2) Calculate the voltage, current, rate, power and the amount of money expended or conserved in switching to solar power. Plus, sometimes the benefits out weigh the increase in expense over the long term...so you will see the ecological value.
